Overview

Cooperidge Consulting Firm is seeking an Engineer / Designer on behalf of a forward-thinking engineering firm in Honolulu, HI. This role offers a mix of hands-on project work, leadership opportunities, and professional growth. You will contribute to both small-scale and large-scale projects while collaborating with a senior team that values innovation, professionalism, and continuous learning.

Responsibilities

In this role you will:

  • Perform engineering calculations and develop plan markups under the guidance of senior engineers or principals.
  • Manage site work independently and oversee project progress.
  • Attend client and project meetings alongside senior leadership.
  • Support construction administration, including site observations and adherence to safety standards.
  • Mentor and oversee junior engineers, fostering their professional growth.
  • Complete design documentation (schematic design, design development, construction documents, permitting, bidding, and construction administration) for projects of various sizes under supervision.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with company core values.
  • Represent the company with professionalism and integrity at all times.
  • Pursue ongoing professional development and continuous learning.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of professional engineering experience.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) License required.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Bluebeam for drafting and design.
  • Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Solid understanding of engineering principles, project management, and construction administration.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • High attention to detail with strong problem-solving capability.
Education
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an accredited college/university, OR
  • Associates degree in a technical or vocational field with equivalent practical experience.
