Duties and Responsibilities:
Under the supervision of the Principal Investigator, with guidance from the Hawaii State Maternal Health Task Force, the GRA will:
Conduct data harmonization & analyses related to the Hawaii Maternal Health Innovations programProvide technical assistance to funded MHI projectsAs necessary, collect new data or seek out additional data sourcesAssist in manuscript, grant proposal, and other technical writingPrepare public presentations, community report-back, and other engagement activitiesPresent at academic conferences Other duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications:
Be classified as a degree-seeking student in a Masters or PhD program under UHM Graduate Division,Be in good academic standing and maintain a GPA of 3.0 or above,Maintain 6 credits per semester with the exception of those who have reached 800 (dissertation) or 700F (thesis)Knowledge of public health and epidemiologyProficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, and statistical programming software such as R, Stata, or SASExperience with quantitative health data including Electronic Health Record (EHR) dataDesirable Qualifications:
Skills in quantitative analyses including epidemiology and biostatistics, as evidenced by coursework and/or experienceKnowledge and interests in maternal and child health epidemiologyStrong oral and written communication skillsDetail oriented, organized, dependable, and self-motivatedExperience with data presentations and data visualizationsTo Apply:
