Join Oracle Cloud Infrastructure's (OCI) architecture development engineering team as we lead the way in AI innovation. We are seeking a passionate GPU platform software and system development engineer at the Senior Principal Engineer level. You will be instrumental in evaluating, prototyping, and optimizing state-of-the-art AI hardware and accelerators, including custom-designed AI chips and systems. Your contributions will define the future of Cloud AI infrastructure.

In this pivotal role, you will:

• Drive platform definition and oversee development to enhance Oracle's Cloud AI infrastructure solutions.
• Engage in design reviews, system integration, and performance testing.
• Collaborate closely with GPU IC suppliers, partners, and internal teams to ensure a robust AI cloud platform.
• Benchmark emerging AI hardware and assess their performance against industry standards.
• Develop evaluation tools for AI hardware in real-world applications.
• Enhance performance optimization algorithms for AI models on hardware.

Basic Qualifications

• BS or MS degree in Computer Science or a relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 10+ years of software development experience.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, GoLang, or C#.
• Solid understanding of AI/GPU architecture and large-scale services infrastructure.
• Experience with GPU supplier test code and open-source AI tools.
• Familiarity with modern server architectures, including x86 and ARM.
• Experience in debugging complex hardware/software issues.

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical lead experience on large-scale cloud services.
• Hands-on experience with public cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Oracle).
• Familiarity with AI accelerator chips (e.g., SambaNova, Groq).
• Knowledge of AI benchmarks and performance evaluation tools.
• Expertise in AI model optimization for hardware acceleration.
• Experience with firmware and system diagnostics tools.
