Under the general direction of the Administrative Services Officer II, this position plans, develops, coordinates and conducts a comprehensive safety and accident prevention program for the Department; conducts training classes; supervises the Department's driver trainers and mechanical maintenance education program; and performs other related duties. May serve on various departmental committees. Work schedule is Monday - Friday, 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM (subject to change). Special Work Requirements: Serves as Civil Defense Coordinator during civil defense emergencies and will be required to work evenings, holidays and weekends during civil defense emergencies.
