CALIBRE Systems, Inc., an employee-owned Management Consulting and Digital Transformation company, is looking for a Software Engineer to join our team in Huntsville, AL.
Responsibilities
The candidate will primarily be responsible for leading a team and developing applications to support Integrated Mission Planning and Airspace Control Tools (IMPACT).
The applicant should be able to demonstrate the ability to lead application design, development, testing, and documentation efforts.
The selected candidate will be a member of a team providing software development and support to the AvMC Software, Simulation, Systems Engineering and Integration (S3I) Directorate.
Required Skills
Experience & Clearance:
Must possess a bachelor's degree and three (3) years of experience; additional six (6) years' experience may be considered in lieu of a degree (per contract vehicle).
Secret Security Clearance - US Citizenship required.
An Interim Secret Security Clearance must be obtained prior to employment; a Secret Security Clearance must be obtained to maintain employment.

Ability to prioritize multiple tasks
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience leading agile software development using methodologies like Scrum
Proficiency with tools like Azure DevOps, Jira, or GitLab
C#/.NET development using Visual Studio or VS Code
HTML, JavaScript, CSS
CI/CD pipelines, artifacts, and package feed
Desired Experience
Cross-platform development
Microsoft Multi-platform App UI (MAUI) and/or Blazor
Android app development using Java or Kotlin in Android Studio
Developed Android Tactical Assault Kit (ATAK) plugins
Knowledge of software development process, technical data package documentation
Experience with aviation
Familiarity with the Army's Airworthiness process [i.e., Airworthiness Qualification Plans/Specifications (AQPs/AQSs), Functional Hazard Assessments (FHAs), DO-178C/DO-278A]
Worked with Systems Readiness Directorate (SRD) and Platform Managers (PMs) to achieve Airworthiness approval
Additional Qualifications
Experience in vulnerability scans, security system development, and mitigation strategies
Proficiency in software debugging and creating secure applications
Knowledge of security protocols, encryption, and cybersecurity principles
Experience managing data in relational and NoSQL databases
Familiarity with source control tools like Git and IDEs such as Eclipse, Visual Studio, JupyterLab
Strong communication skills and proficiency with Agile tools and AWS services
