Description:

The Aircraft Mechanic is responsible for all aircraft maintenance activities assigned to them, such as repair, servicing, and maintenance of aircraft systems, powerplants, airframes, avionics, and components in accordance with the appropriate manuals.

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):

  1. Initiate, execute, and sign forms, tags, and other paperwork in accordance with the appropriate maintenance manuals. Review all paperwork for completeness and signatures. Release aircraft for service in accordance with Aloha Air Cargo or contract carrier's Maintenance Log procedures.
  2. Work collaboratively as a member of the team.
  3. Perform duties and special assignments as directed by the Crew Chief or Supervisor - Line Maintenance.
  4. Assist in interpreting and resolving aircraft discrepancies.
  5. Ensure all safety and accident prevention measures are followed, and take corrective actions as needed.
  6. Repair, service, and maintain aircraft systems, powerplants, airframes, avionics, and components.
  7. Maintain the general upkeep of ground equipment supporting Line Maintenance activities.
  8. Assist in the interpretation and resolution of aircraft discrepancies, and ensure proper use and maintenance of servicing and repair equipment.
  9. Perform any additional duties delegated by the Crew Chief, Supervisor - Line Maintenance, or Maintenance Management.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license and current Airframe & Powerplant Certificate.
  • Two years of A&P experience preferred; electrical and avionics experience desired.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug test, background checks, criminal history check, and security threat assessment.

Compensation

This position offers a pay range of $29.96 to $35.31 plus $6.00 for A&P licenses.
